Evil Deeds
Confused, consumed by evil deeds,
my mind seems not to get along with me.
Tired of fighting it alone,
I am sliding farther away from victory.
The thin line between right and wrong
is slowly fading away,
While I sit still, indolent,
watching my conscience die, then decay.
I need to make amends,
and get out of this mess.
Even though I seem to have given up,
I have to keep fighting, nonetheless.
