I can't stay anywhere long enough
The first day of school papers are back
and between my existential crisis every class period
and the question "what's something you're good at?"
I'm ready for summer already
1.
I'm good at biking and
marching and
moving and
running because
no matter how fast
or far I move
my feet itch to step on the gas and be
gone
gone
gone
2.
I'm good at pre-calc and
geometry
and trig and
algebra because
numbers are more reliable
than people and
safer
and easier to hide behind
3.
I'm good at hiding and
leaving
and the closer I get to someone
the more I seem to cut the ties
I'm sorry that the more you care
the farther I want to run
