Nostalgia
I. The Sunset
The sky’s painted with beautiful, delicate strokes of red, orange, and yellow,
It’s so bright and yet,
You can’t seem to turn away.
You’re so sad about the sun setting,
ending the day with a last flourish,
A day you won’t be able to repeat,
Slipping out of your hands with a wave of nostalgia.
But do not worry, my friend,
As the sun will rise again,
Brighter than ever tomorrow,
As the day starts all over again,
Repeating over and over,
but it is somehow completely different from yesterday…
II. My Home
The place of my origin,
The place where all my childhood memories are safely tucked,
Where everything is in a positive spin,
Where everything is carefully constructed,
My dreams grew like a rose that was slowly blooming,
My heart soared like a shooting star that glazed across the sky,
My future was really promising,
And my joy was high.
Where the nights were pitch black,
But still had enough stars to shine through the darkness,
Even though the dark nights always came back,
What always came after that was pure happiness.
Time's frozen as you take in the sweetness of the moments,
You never rest until you finish perfectly sculpting,
recreating the beautiful and bittersweet moments,
Relishing on the old, lovable times, remembering...
A place where you look to when you're feeling down,
A place that makes you feel happy, alive, and safe.
My home,
내 고향,
The place that means so much to me, holding endless tiny bits of memories...
