Unity
Unity
I stood on the wet sand,
Cool water lapping at my feet.
I could feel it —
The touch of nature.
I watched as the seagulls flew
Gawking, flapping their wings.
I could hear it —
The sound of nature.
I looked at the ocean,
Water glittering and sparkling under the sunlight.
I could see it —
The sight of nature.
Nature,
Silent, no sound of the roaring cars, the steaming ships.
But at the same time,
Loud, with the splashing of waves, the bristling of leaves, the chirping of birds.
I’m alone
But never alone.
At least,
Now,
This corner of the world
Is free.
