Cages
We are all hurting on the inside.
Lying to ourselves and others that we’re okay.
Like little birds in a cage thinking we’re free.
But what if I want to be truly free?
Free from the cage and from this pain.
Free to soar across lands and sea.
Letting my imagination run free.
No longer stuck in this box.
Forced in by society and others,
But I have a secret, we all do it’s true.
That we do not have to imagine freedom,
For we have the key.
There will be a sequel about keys.
