Life as a Two-Legged Slippery Creature
The cold weather isn’t for me
The melting ice caps isn’t for me
Living on a solid piece of ice isn’t for me
Waddle, waddle I go
The slipping and sliding on the ice isn’t for me
The splash of the Arctic cold water isn’t for me
My skin is rubbery
My colony loves it here but I do not
If it weren’t for my eggs
I’d be on a warm beach somewhere
This piece was written in my Creative Writing class, and is one of my favorite poems that I have written in this class.
