Repeating
I hate to repeat,
I really hate to repeat,
Why do it again,
When there is nothing to gain?
I promised myself I wouldn’t repeat this,
But it’s so tempting, it’s like hypnosis,
I gaze at him and all I feel is pleasure,
I know he likes me back, but I can’t let this be my future,
I tried love once, and it didn’t work out,
So I won’t repeat it, I won’t strikeout,
I remember the day when it all came down burning,
I don’t want to repeat that feeling,
But the way he looks at me is so pure,
There’s no way we’ll ever crash as a failure,
I walk up to him and push in a sigh,
“Hi?”
