Revealer
I stood in front of the mirror, with a broken smile
Feeling the bruises on my body as they ached
The blood from them had dried as I cried
Choicelessly
Fearfully
So tearfully
I took my concealer, as he forced me to hide the scars
It felt painful. It never felt right.
I had to stand up for myself, for what's right
I never concealed it. I revealed it.
Because this body is not his to force upon or hurt
This body is mine. So, its choice is mine.
