Three
What is so special about the number three?
Pi is 3.1415926, which rounds to 3
e is 2.71828, which approximates to 3
There are three primary colors
People with two eyes see the world in three dimensions
It's three strikes and you're out
There are three parts to an atom–protons, neutrons, and electrons
There are four sets of three months per year
And three sets of ten days per month
In life, the third time's the charm
The first time, you fail because you haven't synced yourself
with the nature with the task
and run on preconceived notions of task-abiding.
The second time
you find solutions for the problems you encountered on the first trial
and go further than before…
only to run into more setbacks.
After facing two sets of problems
you have a good idea of the nature of the problems in the situation
The third time, after musing
for foolproof solutions
to every possible obstacle
you succeed.
But quantifying something as flimsy and multi-factored as success
is bound to backfire.
Expecting life to be clean-cut
is to set oneself up for, at best, disappointment,
and at worst,
failure.
There's a reason pi and e are approximations, and not exactly three
The ratio of whole numbers to irrational numbers is 1 to infinity.
The ratio of the ways you expect life to turn out
to the number of ways life can and will turn out
is also infinite.
