the planets cry.
i have seen the world change before my eyes,
the climate is changing i can’t deny.
i have seen the storms grow strong and fierce,
while the floods wash away the four walls
i used to call home.
i grew up playing in the glistening sun,
but now it’s hotter than it's ever been.
the sun beats down with intense heat,
as temperatures rise, it’s hard to beat.
as the ice caps melt, the oceans rise,
the planet groans with mournful sighs.
the world’s on fire, the air’s so thick.
the earth’s in pain, it makes me sick.
the ones who contributed the least,
are impacted the most.
they’re at the front line,
their culture’s at stake.
as forests burn, the skies are grey.
we need to act, we must find a way.
to help the workers,
the earth restores its way.
