The little things
Today I felt a lovely kick while playing on the pitch
I was a little hurt, but without that, I wouldn't be rich
Although, my stitching did get a little crack in it
And yet I must admit, ending up in the back of the net made me smile a bit
For collecting dust in the garage was not my style
I’m not used to the dark, all neatly tucked away
I’m thankful I was used outside, where I could play
