Stinging pains flow through the veins

It always holds that dull taste

Breath in breath out the doctors say

When all you want to do is pray

Your bum gets numb

And lips get dry

You’re tired of seeing your parents cry

Did God take away the angles you need

You only want to be freed

Always the same

As you begin to blame

That thumping beat you can’t stand

While the doctors say you’re doing grand

The heart monitor goes

And your sisters filled with bows

They say you’re being strong

When the days are just getting long

Put all faith in Jesus

Because he's never let you down

But did all that change once you put on your gown

Breath in breath out

They say one last time

As you count back from ten

And the doctors start to begin

Happening fifteen times

You just want to be normal

As you stare down beneath your shirt

And see those battle scars

That has forever stained your skin

Lost all hope and faith

But as you went into surgery number eight

Realizing that without God

You wouldn’t be waking up everyday

Thinking back the devil almost made you breakaway

This piece was insider by my feelings that I go through during my heart surgeries. I am 15 years old and I have had 15 heart surgeries, and without God be by my side I wouldn't have made it this far.
