Color Speaks
they think color holds emotions
but not the ones you think
not of anger or resentment
but of happiness found in the street
the one you find on the court
the one you can hear
faded dribbles
with busted streetlights
hidden from the world
the prying eyes ready to attack it
with constant calls to the po-po
of noise complaints and disturbances
they think the color holds emotions
but racism holds the knife
