My Life
I see and I reach, but I miss
I think and try, but I fail
Refusing to admit this
as a way to bail.
Not knowing what to call this,
I soon learned not to dwell long
giving up was no fraud,
I couldn’t do anything wrong.
Whenever I am about to give up,
I feel the urge to try again.
No matter how sharp the knife presses me down
I will keep rising up again.
My will is strong.
Pushing me to persist
While lost in the throng
However much my life resists
That is the way
Life is harsh and does not play
As long as I don’t succeed
I will find another way
That is the way
I will try another day
Though it is always full of gray,
Life is harsh and does not play
That is the way
My will is like a Gamma ray
I will not be a prey
Because life is harsh and does not play
I see and I reach, but I miss
I try one last time, and success is near
I don’t know what to call this,
But persistence leads me here.
