A Potpourri of Food
Food, a symbol of global connections,
an emblem of world unison,
a hallmark of cultures and religions,
a shield of human survival.

An American melting pot of diverse cultures and people,
Reuben Sandwich, Philly Cheese Steak, Mac and Cheese,
Nachos, Cobblers, and Chilis,
Inspired by many, and savored by all.
From Ravioli, Tortellini, to Linguine,
Thin slices of suspensions kneaded
into fancy little knots, symbolizing
The union throughout Italian History;
“A food of flour in the form of threads” .
Food, the liaison of social ties,
The builder of civil networks,
The diplomat of global relations
The maker of world peace.
If only it could rebuild broken bonds,
If only it could reconcile racism,
If only it could usher in an era of world peace,
If only it could …
