The story of the beautiful moon (revised)
How beautiful is the moon,
Gleaming brightly through the dark skies.
She hides herself behind a veil at noon,
So you’ll never know when she cries.
Yet surrounded by many stars and cloudscapes,
In solitude does thou see:
A heavenly night sky tis’ it drapes!
Where the glowing orb shall truly be?
And yet away from people and away from pain,
She hides herself from plain sight.
I’ve told you once more and I’ll tell you once again,
A story of the beautiful moon,
Who light grows brightly at night…
