Flight
Today I fly
Long since the last time
I can’t decide
If I am exited
Or feel terrified
Years ago I was elated
Yet today the feeling are invasive
I’ve been wanting this
I love it – yet being here is not the same
We enter the plane
And yet my brain doesn’t complain
The racketing of the engine
The whipping of the propellors
The voices over the radio
The noises invading my brain.
Yet I never complain
I rev the engines
Release the brakes
A jerk
A push
A lift
I’m Soaring

I like flying, so I wrote a poem about the feelings I had getting back into it. I was a little nervous, so I wrote about it.
