The Tragedy (part 2)
A light shines on their dark faces.
A singular gleam of hope,
Fresh water, food, and clothing.
Reassurance holds them dear.
The mother and father, lifting their face
As they reach the freshwater lake.
As the dark colors fade away,
The lighter ones come into view.
The boy, in his warm red sweater,
The man, in his simple green shirt.
The woman, in a long navy dress.
Eyes lighten up, to see hope abroad.
