Play chess again
Grandpa, together can we play chess again
to move the black and white pieces on the shabby board.
When your queen mistakenly fall into my trap and then I obtained,
I’ll let you to recall your moves.
But then you refuse to recall your moves,
Murmuring ‘Oh my god, that is good’.
My childish face lit up with triumphant smile
and the sense of proudness ‘I’m on fire’.
The dusk starts falling and darkness spread,
And I whisper to you let’s play one last game
Then I will have a good night sleep all the way when sun flames
But forget to turn on the clock that’s why I woke up one years late,
When I failed to find you everywhere
Only the old chess board still on the desk placed.
I try to recall the moves your play
But the past seems to be recalled from my memory.
My grandpa, can we play chess again, and this time,
I will let you to recall your moves to the very begin
When our game first started…

My Grandpa passed away one years ago, and we often play chess when we are together. I wanted to recall the moves all the way to the start of the game, and never started playing one moves... so we can stay together for ever.
