Awaiting
Waiting for something a little newer,
Or rather
Awaiting
For the day the mirror doesn’t copy me,
Or when thirteen comes before twelve,
Or maybe we’ll walk on the ceiling instead of the floor.
When plushies cuddle us,
Rather than us to them,
Or when we can see in the dark,
But not the light.
I cannot wait for my days to be different.
I must choose to make them a different that is worth smiling at.

If the days feel repetitive, try repeating a little spontaneity.
