Love is a Voyage
A blink of warmth in the night, longing for relief
Conversations all start small, thoughts always fleeting
A random dream or a conversation
Too long because you don’t wanna stop
Time together feeling like a warm bath
Or the cool respite of ocean water from burning sun or blistering sand
Love like an ocean follows the wind
Flowing and flowing
Reclose waves poison cold days
Your smile hides in between gloomy clouds
Without a word spoken as we pass
Your message is sent loud and clear
No light house or distant safe haven to run to
You were a lighthouse once
I lost you to time and now I’ve lost myself to the sea
