Life is like a waterfall 

You can stay on top 

Or go rushing down to the bottom 

We are the rocks 

Struggling to keep our heads above the water 

Struggling not to disintegrate 

And become nothing 

Life is like the ocean 

The vastness, depth, and unpredictability 

Never knowing what is going to happen next 

Everything is calm and serene at one moment 

And suddenly everything is crazy and chaotic 

Life is like the trees 

Getting planted into the ground at a very young age 

With so much potential 

Then hopefully grow tall and fulfill all of that potential 

The leaves on a tree are the cycle of life 

Repeating over and over 

Until leaves fall off but the tree remains alive 

To then get a restart to flourish with its natural green leaves

Life is like a fire 

It begins with a spark 

And life begins

Vibrant colors appear 

To feel the warmth of everybody around you 

And you camouflage so no one notices you

Life is like a sunset 

Trying to be perfect like the smooth collusion of sky burst reds and yellows into the calm of night 

When the sun goes down it will rise again the next day

With a fresh new start 

Never knowing when your last time will be seeing nature's masterpiece 

The sun's warmth is slowly setting 

Slowly becoming dark 

Then you will become that sunset 

Melting in the sky
