Red Illusions
she sees a lot of red
uses a lot of red
ruby dresses
crimson lipstick
has red eyes from crying
she's crimson from bleeding
by her body
by his body
and red till her last breath
in a pool of pretty red roses
flowing from her wrists
that are scarlet from scars against porcelain white skin

The color red is commonly associated with femininity. As I thought about this, I was inspired to write Red Illusions. I hope this poem brings more awareness to women's struggles in life.
