I Remember
I remember waking up on the first day of school,
A new way of life,
Something I’ve never done before.
I remember stepping foot into the classroom with my parents,
And seeing all new faces,
Seeing every kid as shy as me to greet one other,
I remember eventually talking with someone at recess,
We became friends and I realized,
I just have to put myself out there and I will find the right people.
I remember being happy to wake up and go to school,
In the fresh morning air knowing I would learn to have fun,
And Learn things that fascinated me,
Going home eager to tell my parents what I did that day.
