Quiet Day
Today is a quiet day
We sleep in late
Wear our pjs for breakfast, lunch, dinner
The lights are dim or off, and the sunlight that shines inside is soft and warm
Everyone is comfortable in silence,
Comfortable with themselves
I eat cinnamon cereal and the milk tastes like home on my tongue
I read in my bed
Curled up warm and comfortable
For once, I am quiet
I don’t think because I don’t have to
And it’s a quiet day
