Fabulous Red
The carpet of the hall,
Fabulous red,
As the ruler runs down
From barricaded doors.
His reign and oppression,
His confidence shattered,
As the city around
Burns with anger.
Songs of hope and hate
Sound from outside.
The people shall rush in,
And the ‘mighty’ shall beg for the mercy they never gave,
And their carpets shall be drenched
In fabulous red.

I was inspired by looking over the course of history and the futures that I look forward to. From the ages of empires to republics, we see the people get more and more power, held down by oppressors less and less.
I look forward to a world where those who cause pain and inequality are brought down and true unity and freedom are achieved. It may be a harsh storm, but I believe it will be followed by a calm like never before.
