Misused Cross
It stands in the corner of the dark room
The eyes yellow and bright
Teeth and mouth mangled
Skin pale and grayed
A cloak of His servitude
Hangs over it's head
A cmon cross
Laid up on its chest
Its steps were faint
Its movements free and gliding
Drool spills from its face
From black lips resting
A stench of malice
And depraved deeds
A villainous taste
Which overcame any tenderness
And the cross it bore
Was a lie to me
