The ground caves between us,
Down, down, down into an endless void,
Like invisible hands are pushing it open.
A bridge we had walked on together--
That guided our hearts close--
Is falling into timbers of pain.
You rush to me,
And offer a hand.
Our fingertips brushed,
But the darkness grabbed our ankles,
Pulling us down into grief.
