Question of Love
I watch young couples walking hand in hand
Lost in happiness existing in a dreamland
Smiling ear to ear their joy spreading so wide
They have a strong bond, and in each other confide
Eyes so glamorous you could get lost
But beware of the stages their ends and the cost
I see their hands clutched together
So tight like they'd hold on forever
I believe for most of them it really is real
But what remains when past the stage of good feel?
I silently wonder when I don't believe they're faking it,
How many couples will fade, and how many will make it?
Is true love real, or just a lover's fantasy?
Could a couple create a trend from a faithful legacy?
A hug, a kiss, a hand held gentle squeeze,
Will they stand tall together, or cut each other to their knees?
How hard how wide how beautiful each season,
Things come in their time of rhyme and reason
As I watch these happy couples hand in hand,
A thought crosses my mind, a question, a stand
As I watch them, their love and trust I do see,
And I silently wonder, could this ever be me?
So I send up to heaven a silent plea,
That someday, I'd find a boy who'll be faithful to me
I plead and plead,
That if it should be,
That the boy for me will be faithful,
To god I'll be grateful,
Forever
Whenever,
The lover of mine shall come,
Wonderful like the rising sun
So I wait patiently for my love to meet,
As I long in silence to live out my plea,
My hope for this dream takes flight like a dove,
As I wait hoping and pleading with my question of love.

I've always liked watching cartoons and stuff with my family, and every time there was a couple, I'd see how the boy and girl completed each other, and at the same time it made me think, aw, that's so sweet. It also left an empty feeling in my heart. Like, I want that someday. And, I've always hoped to eventually fall in love with the person I'm meant to be with and get married. I have had to learn the hard way, love is not like in the movies. It's really hard to find the right person. So after a lot of hurt and searching, I've finally decided to just give it to God. I need to trust and rely on him more, cause he truly does know what's best. I've tried to find love on my own, and all it brought was hurt. So, I'm just giving it to God, and waiting for him to bring the right man to me. I pray you will do the same if you're going through the same thing. Give it to God. It's hard, but he loves you, and he really does know best.
