To Cry: Inspired by "The Outsiders" By S.E. Hinton
I wanted to cry
 at that moment.
 I was always told,
 to never cry at all,
though many forgot at an early age.
 That doesn’t matter to me.
 Greasers don’t cry
but not being able to cry is-
as if feeling has no name
as if emotion was white and gray
and sadness wasn’t bold but cold.
As if happiness was straight and tired; to never be felt again.
 Losing a friend
by having him slip stealthily and steadily away
through your fingers not being able to grab him,
 is possibly the worst feeling
 ever felt.
How much I want to cry
 though other people are staring
 at the hero.
 What hero lies-
 what Greaser cries-
What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t
 What would happen if-
 I never cried again.
 What would happen
 if I did.
 What would happen, if the
 wishing, weary
 hero
 died.
