Favorite Quote:
&quot;the world is your exercise-book, the pages on which you do your sums. it is not reality, although you can express reality there if you wish. Your are also free to write nonsense, or lies, or tear the pages.&quot;<br /> - Illusions: adventures of the reluctant messiah by Richard Bach

(Assignment: an important event in your life.)

The door stares you down while you wait.
Is it such a surprise then
That this gave you the idea
That once you had entered
They might
Stare you down too?
As the door had done.
But
No such luck
"Become a voice and an emotion"
They say
"And we'll sit here and twiddle our thumbs.
You'll never know
The way
It went."

Silence
(Assignment: alliteration and repetition)

Certainly we shall survive this silence
Surely we will continue to show signs of life
Our hearts will continue to sustain the system
Of organs that keep us all tender and ticking.

Certainly we shall survive this silence
This silence that continues to come closer.
Calming the conscience and coating
The world in a sticky blanket of solitude.

Surely we shall survive
Sitting still and secluded in
Our corners of self and
Soundless existence.

Breathing in and out in out corners.

(Assignment: utilize the Robert Frost (a, b, a, a, b) rhyme scheme)

A river winding along its way
As a weary traveler who will never rest
Water will never stay
At night her weary head wont lay
She wanders on in black mysteriousness

The trees by daylight rarely talk
You'll never hear them whispering
But by a late night moonlit walk
I did a silence beach tree stalk
And then I heard him giggling.
