Blue Horizons
The sky is a picture
Of glittering stars
They had to wait for years
For their light to reach eyes
To be seen
But I can’t wait
For another day
I’m going somewhere
Where I can be
Free
Where I can be
Alive
Where I can be myself
Where I can hope
And hope alone can fulfill my dreams
I just want to run along a dirt road
Never see another dead end
Fall upon the soft grass
Of a meadow that stretches to the horizon
And sing the clouds a song
I’m going somewhere you’ll never find me
I’ll paint myself a picture
Of blue skies and open roads
I don’t know where they lead
But I’m going to find out
