Made For You
the "tick tock" of that silent clock
rings within my ears
this past minute felt like an hour
hour felt like a year
tell me dear,
how much longer must i wait
to see your freckly face?
where are you now?
are you sleeping as you should?
or are you to, awake
with thoughts of long lost summer love?
and when we meet again,
I expect to feel your arms surround me
the affect of your absence is astounding
and each day, as i grow weaker from missing you
I can't help but to think of this as proof
that you were made for me and I was made for you
