Dipped in Fanta
I wake up early,
Stretching and yawning
Tired and morose,
Dreading the long day ahead.
But as I look out the window,
I’m shocked to find,
My world has been dipped in fanta.
The once blue sky,
Now a bright,
blunt,
stubborn,
Orange.
I can hardly see the house next door,
The air is so dense.
So brilliant!
I bubble with excitement,
Like a shaken up fizzy drink,
Thrilled and enthusiastic,
Keen and eager,
Practically bounding out of bed,
The misery of minutes before long forgotten.
But first… what could have caused this?
I stick out the window to investigate,
And choke on a mouthful of dust.
Ginger dust!
Standing up,
I’m covered in glittering, fizzy, orange specks.
Getting dressed,
I shake off bubbly orange dust.
Leaving my house,
The world gives off an eerie glow of orange.
Dust.
carroty,
fruity,
brilliant,
fizzy,
ginger,
radiant,
bubbly,
florescent,
dense,
bright,
apricot,
tangerine,
Dripping in Fanta,
DUST
