I am in my own world, but not alone,
I wonder how I got here or when I will leave,
I hear what I want to hear,
I see what I want to see,
I want to be here forever,
I am in my own world, but not alone

I pretend that everything here is real,
I feel every sadness, love, and heartbreak,
I touch the lives of the people,
I worry that I will forget,
I cry with them, I laugh with them,
I am in my own world, but not alone

Its... okay... keep it up, I guess. The last paragraph you may want to work on:

"I pretend that everything here is real"

Seems to contradict:

Its confusing, because the poem claims things like 'I cry with them, I laugh with them' when its only fake, because it just stated that the person in the poem is pretending.

The writer doesn't continue to acknowledge the fact that the person in the poem is pretending, so its very unclear.
