Fight
The walls bleed when I close my eyes
I shudder as I think of all the people that die
The rain feels like acid on my skin
Each drop feels like a pin
It’s stabbing at my heart
The lightening hits the earth under my feet
I can feel the pain tearing me apart
The thunder quickens my heartbeat
Tears fall from the sky
Each clear drop is one more drop of agony
Each bruise is one more lie
“I love you” is what he said to me
I tried to wash away the pain
I scrub away at my skin
But they all call me insane
They all try to make me bask in my sins
The torture is too much to bear
All I can do is hide
My life is just too much to share
I refuse to lie down and die
I will fight
Fight till I can’t feel
I open my eyes to see the light
The sun comes out to heal
This hurt is going to end
My heart will mend
I will find peace
And this sorrow will be released
