Not Your Fault
You let your anger control you
Sacrifice your life to protect your soul
But its not working
Your pain has become an addiction
Your anger fuels the fire
Now you need the pain
Your anger hurts all those around you
In turn you hurt yourself
You let yourself believe you tell yourself every night
It’s not your fault
Your hurting inside
You have a right to be angry
You need the pain to justify
Who you are and the way you act
But that doesn’t make it right
Everything is not ok
But you only think of yourself
You don’t care about anyone else
As long as you have the pain
You don’t have to change
You don’t have to answer for the way you acted
You don’t have to atone for your sins
So every night when you ask God to take away your pain
He ignores you
Waiting for the day
When you realize you caused your own pain
And ask Him to take away the pain of all those you hurt
