Alone
The wind blew
 as the leaves rustled
 on the earth
 The dark night sky
 drowned any noise
 And I was alone
 in the center
 of the world
 Alone,
 sad,
 without anyone's care,
 or warmth.
 No friends
 No family
 I was on my own
 The pride I held
 Slowly
 drifted away
 into empty space
 My opinions
 now,
 didn't matter
 not one bit
 My arrogance,
 anger,
 and disgust,
 began to melt away
 and revealing
 for the first time
 the fear,
 insecurities,
 and tears
 that make up
 my true soul.
