He walked to school
Brain already full
He thought of ways to try and be cool
But that’s like thinking of ways to dethrone

a king from his rule

As he walks through the doors
And walks through the halls
Someone trips him, he stumbles and falls
Laughter begins to fill his ears
While his eyes are welling up with tears

But then someone steps out
Steps out of the crowd
And reaches out a hand
The symbol of a loyal friend
Beginning to end

As the crowd disperses
And they walk to the nurse’s
He thanks his friend
For just being there
And playing fair
In the field of friendship

But as the chums begin to depart
They feel the urge in their hearts
So they hug, a sweet embrace
A symbol of God’s loving grace
For He set this kid apart
And loves him with all His heart
For the friend you see, had it not been for he
The young boy, after school
Would have surely taken his life

So you see
Even amidst the struggles and strife
God has a plan, for your life

How alone you can feel even when there are friends all around - alone is a horrible place to be - thank God for new friends and those who will try to be...
