Winter's Path
Winter does not hide from me
It settles beneath the shady trees
It comes to play when days are hard
And fixes plenty of broken hearts
Winter does not show its face
At any particular time or place
It moves along like a passerby
It sometimes comes; it sometimes hides
Winter is a beautiful gem
It lives among the northern men
It visits us for a spare time
But still the winter air is mine
Do not cross in winter’s path
For surely you’ll release its wrath
Curse the icy fingers it stabs
At the world; it pokes and grabs
