unheard
My glass eyes
are completely clean
doused in windex
I'm so aware of you
of your glare and your confidence
I'm absolute
that you see through me
I'm perfectly okay
until you start to speak
your voice gets louder
and louder
and even louder
until my frame bends
my eyes water
I beg them not to rain
because the single tear
that dances on my eyelash
is threatening to give me away
but you don't see
you never saw
the words launch like a rocket
I can't stop the blows
but you don't care
you never cared
my mouth is glued
and I know your still magic
because you can see
through broken glass
