Everything Changes
Bright green leaves on the trees
The hot, humid air we breathe
Sticky skin, and frizzy hair
Never felt better, I have not a care
The summer sun beats down on us
Cool ocean water is a must
The water washes all over you
As I dance in the water too
Summer smells, like sunscreen and lotion
Summer is like a lively potion
Makes you forget all your worries
Memories come, and create new stories
New colors I see, orange, yellow, red
Crisp air as we go to bed
The fireflies are leaving,
Crickets stopped chirping
It's getting colder and colder and colder
But not quite winter-the cold's not over
Autumn is so colorful,
Bracing us for Winter's dull
The leaves are floating from the air
Floating gently, the ground they share
Now it's freezing with ice and snow
The Christmas lights are a very nice glow
The leaves have already fallen down
Brown and dry, on the ground
We can see our breath in the air
All my problems, I just don't care
Christmas time is getting close
And joyous feelings are here for most
Sweaters are on in the morning
Down the stairs to see the shining
The brightly shining Christmas lights
On the tree, what a sight
Christmas is past, the joy is gone
It never lasts, we must move on
Now the pretty plants are growing back
And the rain is like a falling snack
The plants need food to help them grow
They've been dead for so long now
Spring time is chilly, then fades into warm
And the bees are here, all in a swarm
The bugs are coming back, along with the birds
And they're all finally here by April third
Shorts and flip flops make their way
Back out of the closet they're here to stay
Until the autumn when the leaves will fall, once again
And the cycle will just never end
