Don't You?
i wish we could go back to the old days.
you know, when boys still had cooties...
and it was ok with society to chase them around the playground...
when we could wear leggings and baggy tshirts and wouldnt care if our pigtails made us look immature...
when you could crash your playskool car and not have to pay for it...
when you could eat all you wanted and not gain weight...
when we could wear plaid and polka dots...
when we could wear knee highs and shorts and be considered "cool"...
when you could sing off key and people would say oh! how cute...
when make up was just for when you wanted to play dress-up...
when we could say "i'm starving" and not be called anorexic...
when we could get a bruise and our parents wouldn't think we were abused...
yeah...that would be great.
but that cant happen...
can it...?

it makes me so sad to think that i felt this way so soon after childhood....
but it really means a lot. You know, everything in here is true...it'd be great to be peter pan and never grow up...but then i guess we'd never learn.
and learning is what makes us human.
