Lion's Prey
The sun begins to rise in the east
 As out of a cave
 Comes natures own beast

 Searching the land for prey
 Finds one
And begins to crouch down and lay

Pounces at the first sign of retreat
Racing after the prey at top speed
The prey knows it will be conquered by defeat

Snacks on the food as it lays there
Out in the open above the grass
Letting the wind run through its hair

Going back to where he stays
Back to his roomy old Cave
