I Will Stand and Wait

Sometimes I think of you
and the life before you were dead
and bringing back each memory
and the three words you said.
You told me you love me
so how can I let you go
nine years have passed
and still I have no dad to show.
If I could stop the world
and hold back its time
I would build the tallest ladder
and then up to you I would climb.
I will not give up
if you’re not at Gods golden gate
I will not run away
for you I will stand and wait
