Kingdom's Light Brigade
I watched my lover break his back,
he built a tower high.
Among the sod and rusty bricks
a tear welled in his eye.
He built a kingdom of mighty strength,
one thousand cities made of stone.
I lost my lover to Hell's Eden
and now i stand alone.
I stand among the rubble's heart,
the heart that my love made.
But down it fell, and down as well
came the kingdom's light brigade.
I watched my lover drop his axe
down on twenty men.
Thunder rolled through city walls.
I won't see my love again.
