In The Snow
My feet freeze to the cold earth
As my heart soars above me
With wings of soft feathers
And stitches for its broken pieces
The snow tickles my noise
And a rare real smile comes out
My mask dissolves
And my real face shows through
I want to run through the whiteness
And scream out in enjoyment
But why would I do that
When I’m content of staying still?
My racing mind sends me up
The time has come for me to sleep
Up in the clouds
With the white snow everywhere.
