A Yesterday
When I
See your mouth stretch wide
As I stand nearby
There’s a feeling deep inside
Of me shivering.
Then I
Raise my eyes toward yours
As your gaze is forced
Speaking tenderly of remorse
For a yesterday.
When you
Reach hands for my waist
As if to embrace
My mind begins to race
With a longing.
Then you
Cover my mouth with yours
As silence becomes words
And time is suddenly ours
For a moment.
