Behind my invisible world known as life
I stand here watching you pass me by.
This is something you can't deny.
Even when I'm next to you
I am there for you to see through.
I am always there to comfort,
And help you through your life
But when a guy comes your way
I'm there to make you look just right.
I act real quiet or say something dumb
So you can be promoted to number one.
You laugh, you smile, you inch your way forward
And here I stand like a faded memory.
Its ok, I just learn to accept.
Some are pretty and others you reject.
My role is simple in this part I play,
I speak on your behalf everyday.
I'm one of those friends you have
To make you look like the one to grab.
I am invisible in this life that I live.
Just once I want to do something other than give.

Don't make someone a priority if they only make you an option.
