Cracking of the Paint
My eyes are glazed with knowledge
Of something sinister, but kept quiet
Something people just don’t see
Unless they are in on it
I look on many with judgment
That is fierce, but never merciless
But with you I dare to see
Everything under the surface
I hold resentment towards you
For giving off such a façade
For selling yourself as more
Than you have ever conveyed
When the paint finally cracks
The realities will collide
Everyone will see what’s fact
And their respect for you will subside.
